We immediately understood why One Hair Design Centre opted to be called a centre instead of a salon when we saw the place. For starters, it featured a much more luxurious interior that made it feel like a design studio as opposed to your regular salon.
The lavishness continued with the quality of their services, which ranged from colouring to perming, extensions, etc. We’ve only tried their basic hairstyling package and we were more than pleased with the results and the overall friendly service by their talented stylists.
We were also impressed when they offered us snacks, like pastries and coffee, while we were waiting for our turn. Speaking of, their waiting area is super comfy thanks to the plush seats and welcoming ambience.
The only thing we wish they’d do is to put more in-depth explanations regarding their services on their website. As an introvert, I can understand when potential customers don’t want to make a phone call for a simple inquiry.

We also reached out to their previous clients, and many provided positive reviews. One common consensus was about how friendly and skilled the stylists were, highlighting how they were able to achieve their look and enjoyed the service in the process.
Another highlight here is their expertise in achieving Korean-inspired looks, especially when it comes to perming. Their previous clients were pleased with the bounciness of their ends, apart from getting the look they pegged.
72 Change Hair Salon’s accessible location is another plus in our books as it’s a short walk away from the Taman Perindustrian tram station.

A-WoW-ME is a well-known salon chain in Malaysia, featuring 50+ branches across the country. Their location in Puchong is very accessible since it’s inside one of the city’s premier shopping malls.
We spoke with several of their regulars to get an idea of what to expect, and many mentioned that their favourite thing about A-WoW-ME is its diverse service selection. For instance, they offer everything from extensions to perming, rebonding, and even mani and pedi!
They’re also one of the few salons in Puchong that offers a comprehensive evening and bridal hairdo. We’ve seen the before and after pictures from clients who availed of this service, and we were impressed that it comes with balayage and highlights options.
One thing their previous clients have complained about is how they weren’t notified about the additional costs incurred during the styling session. We do want to give props to the salon, though, as they’ve reached out to clients and offered reimbursement of overcharged fees.

Colorem Hair Lab specialises in various hair-colouring techniques. When we dropped by to check out their services, we were impressed at their offerings, ranging from balayage to ombre, highlights, lowlights, and more.
We love that they offer root touch-ups and colour correction for faded hair, making them a great one-stop shop for maintenance.
Their fantasy colours service also caught our attention when we found before and after photos from Colorem Hair Lab’s socials, and we were lucky to have witnessed this service when we dropped by! Their results were impressively beautiful—plus, they looked considerably healthy even though they were of bright pastel colours.
The only downside here is the slightly limited selection of services since they’re more geared towards hair colouring, and Colorem Hair Lab is a solid option at that!

A-Saloon IOI Mall Puchong is another reliable and well-known salon that’s been around for several years, with several locations across Malaysia! For this review, we’re focusing on their IOI Mall branch, which we found very convenient location-wise.
It’s impressive how A-Saloon offers just about every hair salon service available, and they’re done by their tenured stylists. We reached out to their regulars, and they expressed their appreciation for how they felt listened to and how spot-on their results were.
One of our colleagues availed of their professional hair treatment after a bleaching mishap (an emergency!), and we were more than pleased with the results and the overall flow of the service.
It started with an in-depth consultation with their expert stylist, and they proceeded to create a program based on how damaged by strands were.
Our only gripe here is the slightly pricey rates, as the A-Saloon is among the high-end salons in the country.
