11 Places That Serve the Juiciest and Most Tender Lamb Chops in KL
As much as I love the wide variety of Western food in KL today, I avoided lamb chops for the longest time.
I’ll never forget my first experience with this dish because it looked so great, and I remember being excited about sinking my teeth into it, but to my dismay, it wasn’t like steak. It was gamey, chewy, earthy—not the characteristics that my five-year-old tastebuds appreciated.
I don’t know if it comes with age, but today, I have learned to embrace these traits and now love lamb chops. It may also be just because I’ve been eating in amazing restaurants in KL that offer them, and if that’s the case, keep on reading to find the best lamb chops in the city!

The lamb chop masala here is a standout on their menu because of how perfectly grilled they are, featuring char around the edges that adds that hint of smokiness. Furthermore, it was cooked with rich tomatoes to add more depth to the flavour—plus, it’s served with onion gravy!
They also offer lamb sheesh kebab if you’re looking for something more budget-friendly. Don’t worry though, as they don’t skimp on the quality, featuring fresh herbs, special spices and a side of their iconic long-grain rice.
Pro tip:
If you want to balance out the meaty flavours of your lamb chops, we recommend ordering their Eden Garden salad. It features a variety of veggies like lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes, topped off with homemade honey lemon vinaigrette dressing.

Halab KL Arabic Cuisine is a great place to enjoy lamb chops as much as you want because it offers an all-you-can-eat setup! Unlike most buffets, however, the quality of their dishes feels like they’re made to order.
This is especially true with their lambs, as they’re notably tender, juicy, and flavourful—the trifecta of what makes a good slab of steak. Furthermore, they’re marinated in various Arabic spices and herbs that make them more flavourful as opposed to your typical steakhouse lamb.
One of the main benefits of dining here, however, is getting to try countless other Middle Eastern dishes. Among these, our favourite is the juicy grilled chicken with rice, but the fruit crepe is also a great option if you’re looking to end your meal on a sweet note.

At first glance, Down To Bones may seem like your typical expensive steakhouse, with its rustic interior and dim lighting. However, you’ll be surprised to see that their prices are affordable, especially when you consider the quality and massive serving sizes they offer!
There’s no wrong order from their menu, but their lamb is arguably their best offer. For starters, they use the shoulder, which is one of the most tender parts of the lamb, and they come with a side of homemade mint sauce that perfectly complements the meaty flavours.
While you’re here, however, we recommend getting their ayam bakar (boneless grilled chicken) as well! It comes with all the fix-ins you’d expect from your lamb chop as well, like mash, coleslaw, herbs, and that signature tangy sauce!

If you’re looking to order something more Western, you can also get a side of their spicy chicken wings, fries, and onion rings. Moreover, you can also add an order of your favourite beer like Connors and Carlsberg.

D Empire Pavillion is among the top places to get steaks, and its multiple awards from various travel and food websites are living testaments. It’s not hard to see why it has gained so many accolades since it was founded in 2007, mainly because of its dry-aged meat.
Their lamb chops dish is worthy of its own spotlights too, as it was exceptionally tender and juicy! You can pair them with pasta, like the ravioli ricotta, to balance out the meaty flavour with something rich and creamy.
You can either order their New Zealand rack of lamb or their Australian braised lamb shack, both of which feature hearty servings. We prefer the latter because of the fall-off-the-bone texture and the delicious mint sauce.
Pro tip:
If you want to order something to share with the table, you can get one of their pizza. They offer them in familiar flavours like Hawaiian and Margherita, as well as unique ones, including smoked salmon and vegetarian.

Their version of this dish is truly a feast for the senses, from the aroma of the mint sauce to the beautiful presentation of the colourful veggies, and the taste of the lamb chops themselves. The dish also comes with a rich homemade gravy that elevates the dish even further!
Another reason why we recommend this place is their Seafood Extravaganza sets, which are exactly what they sound like. These platters come with a hearty serving of delicacies, from lobsters to salmon, squid, scallops, etc.

Wash the meaty taste from your mouth by ordering their Biscoff cheesecake as your dessert! Alternatively, you can get their fruit platter, which consists of watermelon, honeydew, apple and orange.

The presentation of their dishes is also worth highlighting, which is especially true with their lamb shanks. These tender pieces of meat are still attached to their bones and sit atop a generous serving of veggies and their signature homemade sauce.
We also want to commend their chefs for seasoning these lamb chops to a tee! They feature a combination of minty and tangy spice rub that goes perfectly well with the char flavour of the grilled meat.
Pro tip:
Pair your lamb chops with one of their signature sides! You can either go for the classic mashed potato with truffle oil or opt for something healthier like their arugula salad with cherry tomatoes.

They offer a great roasted rack of ribs, which features perfectly charred lamb as well as hearty fixings of Brussels sprouts, grilled herbs, and a splash of their homemade kebab sauce. You can also opt for their grilled premium lamb chop if you’re looking for something fancier.

Operating hours: Tuesday to Sunday: 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Cost: $
Before our team discovered Overloaded Western KL, I never thought that I could enjoy lamb at this price point. Granted that the place isn’t as lavish as steakhouses and the dish itself isn’t prepared and presented in a fancy manner, it’s still nice to have an option like this!
The lamb chops here aren’t too shabby, as they’re always fresh from the grill, and served with a variety of sides like French fries, coleslaw, and bread. Each chop is also bigger than your fist and comes drenched in their homemade gravy.
Aside from the lamb chops, you can also try the beef steaks and chicken chops, which are just as cheap and flavourful! We wanted to highlight the chicken more particularly because Overloaded Western KL uses huge portions of breast or thigh, and the batter is surprisingly crunchy!
Pro tip:
You can end your meal on a sweet note by ordering a slice of their proven and tested chocolate cake!

Marble 8 Steak House & Fine Dining is one of those places you save for a special occasion. It features a fancy ambience, Instaworthy interiors, world-class customer service, and of course, amazing steaks!
One of the bestsellers here is the lamb chops, and it’s not hard to see why as soon as it’s presented on your table. Each cutlet is still attached to the bone, and the plating itself looks like a piece of art, with its capsicum puree brushed on the side of the plate.
However, our favourite thing about their grilled lamb chops is their homemade lamb jus. This sauce works like a gravy, and it’s made using the fresh juices of the grilled lamb, resulting in a richer flavour.

Their success wasn’t like they caught lightning in a bottle either, as they’ve got the menu to show for it! Among these offerings is their spring lambs, which you can either get in loins, cutlets or traditional roasts.
We love the cutlets because they leave the bone in, and one order features three pieces—talk about a steal! Plus, each lamb dish on their menu comes with their signature mint sauce and a hearty serving of blanched vegetables.

We always praise places like Simply Ribs because they make fancy Western dishes accessible by offering them at affordable prices. For instance, their lamb dishes don’t cost more than RM60, which is baffling considering how amazing they taste!
One thing we love about their lamb shoulders is their tenderness, especially when combined with their mushroom or black pepper sauce. The same goes for their braised lamb shanks, which are served alongside their mashed potatoes and a pool of homemade gravy.
