With its delicious homemade hollandaise sauce, English muffin, and the occasional bacon strips, this staple is a MUST for any breakfast lover. However, not all of these spots nail the landing, and we’re here to help you avoid them!

Antipodean Cafe is one of the most well-known brunch spots in Malaysia, featuring four different locations in KL alone. We decided to put their Mid Valley branch on this list because we feel like it offers the best vibes—but enough of that!

We’re here to talk about their most coveted Eggs Benedict, which comes in various options. For instance, you can have them alongside some bacon if you want to add meaty flavours in your Eggs Benedict—plus, they come with a side salad!

If you’re feeling fancy, however, you can opt for the Eggs Benedict deluxe, which features bacon and baby spinach. Regardless of which you choose, you’ll fall in love with their homemade hollandaise sauce, and they’re not afraid to drench their eggs with it!

Pro tip:

If you want to pair your Eggs Benedict with something sweet, but you’re watching your weight, you can order a stack of their gluten-free pancakes! It comes with Greek yoghurt, bananas and butterscotch!

Yeast Bistronomy

One of the things we love about Yeast Bistronomy is that you can expect to be full after eating any item from their menu. Their Eggs Benedict is a living testament to this, with its amazing sourdough and hearty serving of greens.

You can have them on their own or add either chicken cold cuts or smoked salmon for an even heavier meal. If you can only choose one, however, we recommend the latter because the combination of the salmon’s smokiness with the egg and sauces’ creaminess is a perfect match!

Speaking of, the béarnaise sauce is just as deserving of the spotlight because of its buttery smooth texture and taste. It also features fresh tarragon as well as subtle hints of acidity, courtesy of the white wine vinegar.

Pro tip:

After eating your breakfast, you can head to the Bangsar Village II shopping mall to spend a fun and shopping-filled day with your loved ones! From Yeast Bistronomy, the mall is only a two-minute walk away.

The Red Bean Bag is one of the fanciest places that offer Eggs Benedict in Kuala Lumpur, and their presentation of this dish gives you all you need to know. For starters, the eggs themselves are enticingly silky, which is only made better by the drizzle of their golden hollandaise sauce.

Moreover, they sit atop a heaping serving of sauteed mushrooms, kale, and bacon strips, making each bite as umami as possible. You can also substitute the bacon strips for turkey ham if you don’t eat meat—plus points for inclusivity!

To top it all off, a couple of their homemade kangkung chips are placed gently on top of the yolk for that added crunch and flavour. Also, their sourdough features just the right amount of crunch, which is just the way we like it!

Pro tip:

If neither bacon nor turkey ham entices you, then consider ordering the “Atlantic”. It’s virtually the same dish but replaces the meat with smoked salmon, and the kangkung chips with baby spinach.

If you’re looking for a hip space that offers amazing breakfast meals (including Eggs Benedict), then Brew and Bread should be on your radar! This place offers a welcoming ambience and a cosy interior that’s perfect for taking Insta-worthy photos.

Speaking of things that are Instaworthy, you should see how beautiful their Eggs Benedict is presented! For starters, the sourdough they use is notably darker and thicker, which serves as a great vessel for the hollandaise sauce and the yolk.

Furthermore, each order comes with a hearty serving of fried chicken, but don’t worry! This meaty slab of chicken is balanced out by the side salad.

Pro tip:

If you want to order something else alongside your Eggs Benedict that you can share, we recommend ordering their aglio olio pasta! It’s good for two people (or more, depending on your appetite), and it’s a solid entree to pair with your Eggs Benedict.

Feeka Coffee Roasters is another spot you MUST include in your itinerary if you love laid-back vibes and good breakfast meals. Their Eggs Benedict is one of their bestsellers, and rightfully so, with its beautiful presentation and packed serving size.

Each order of their Eggs Benedict comes with a generous amount of smoked salmon, fresh greens and of course, the golden poached eggs that are dripping with hollandaise sauce. They sit atop homemade sourdough that is crunchy at every bite.

The overall relaxing ambience of the cafe is also a huge reason why we love eating brunch here. We especially love the huge windows, as they let tons of natural light come in.

Pro tip:

You can also stop by the nearby Jalan Alor Street, which is a famous foodie destination that features countless hawker stalls. It’s here where you’ll find classic Malay street foods like satay, char kway teow, etc.

Yellow Brick Road is a great option if you want to try some of Malaysia’s best breakfast and brunch meals. Aside from that, it’s also home to one of the most unique Eggs Benedicts we’ve seen in Kuala Lumpur!

Instead of the usual bacon, ham or smoked salmon, Yellow Brick Road offers pulled beef Eggs Benedict. The beef brisket they use here is super tender and flavourful because they’ve sat overnight in their delicious spice rub.

As for the base, they use classic toasted brioche with a bed of fresh kale. To top it all off, two poached eggs are laid on top of the shredded beef, and a drizzle of spicy Thai mayo is added as a replacement for the hollandaise.

Pro tip:

You can also order their “Eggs Norwegian” if you’re looking for a more traditional type of Eggs Benedict. It features smoked salmon, spinach, mushrooms and yuzu hollandaise sauce.

  • Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Menu

Common Man Coffee Roasters may be known for their freshly brewed artisan coffee, but we fell in love with this cafe because of the Eggs Benedict! It puts a different spin on the brunch staple by adding braised beef cheeks.

The dish is topped off with two perfectly poached eggs and a generous side of hollandaise sauce with freshly cut chives. All these ingredients sit atop their artisanal sourdough, which does a great job of soaking the juices of the dish while staying crunchy.

You can pair it with any of their drinks, but if you want our advice, we recommend the nitro honey oat latte or any other sweet coffee/non-coffee drink. The flavours of the Eggs Benedict can be overwhelming, and these drinks can help balance out your palate.

Pro tip:

Don’t leave without trying their famous “Not Your Common Man Chocolate Cake”, as your dessert! It’s moist, flavourful, and oozing with homemade cocoa filling—plus, it comes with a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream!

If you have more wiggle room in the budget department, Birch should be your next brunch destination. This classy restaurant offers an elegant interior and equally beautiful dishes, both of which could fit well in your Instagram feed.

They’re widely praised for their Eggs Benedict, as they offered both a classic version and their signature Birch benedict. The latter features chicken pulled pork instead of bacon and ham, but still features a hearty serving of greens.

The shredded chicken is drenched in their delicious barbecue sauce, giving every bite that extra lip-smacking kick. Of course, it still features the classic hollandaise sauce, perfectly poached eggs and fresh sourdough.

Pro tip:

One of the cheapest and easiest ways to get here is by taking the bus and departing at the DC Mall station.

Ra-Ft Cafe is one of the few spots in KL that features different types of Eggs Benedict. For instance, you can order the classic version that comes with bacon strips and baby spinach or switch things up by getting the pulled beef Eggs Benedict.

Their porchetta is also beloved because of its thin slices of Italian roast pork and Dijon mustard combination. To top it all off, small bits of crispy pork are added on top to provide each bite with a satisfying crunch.

Pro tip:

Consider coming here if you’re bringing kids! They offer kid-friendly meals as well as a designated play area, complete with slides and toys!
